Course Content

The introduction to the topic Law and Legislation in the Football Industry begins with analysing and clarifying a number of central concepts from the subject area. Initial focus will be on the history of football law and on the specific approach the football industry thereby offers. Then, the important events and concepts will be discussed, e.g. Bosman judgment. Following a definition of the key concepts, we study the specific football regulations imposed by UEFA and FIFA, including Match fixing, Gambling, Financial Fair Play and Portrait Rights within the football industry. Furthermore, we delve deeper into the FIFA Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players.
